Egg Bistro is Brisbane's most elegant and family-owned bistro, at 
989 Stanley St East, East Brisbane.
Located within existing antique showrooms, it features a generous counter and massive back bar of an English pub, now incorporated into the heart of the bistro to give it a truly traditional feel. And while the main part of Egg is airconditioned, once the heat of summer has passed you may prefer the seclusion of the walled courtyard out the back, which offers shaded alfresco dining.
The imaginative breakfast menu already has many local devotees and well-established favourite dishes are complemented by seasonal specials, fresh juices and, of course, great coffee.
The lunch menu is rapidly becoming as popular as breakfast - the difficult thing will be choosing what to have! You are welcome to bring a bottle of wine or beer to enjoy in the airconditioned indoors or in the courtyard. And in between main meals, there is a range of cakes and muffins made on the premises.
Egg is open for breakfast and lunch six days a week, 7am to 4pm; closed on Tuesdays. Our prices range from $9.50 to $21.50 for breakfast, and lunch from $16.50 to $30.
Egg Bistro is also available for parties and private functions with menus specially designed for your event. Alternatively our staff can cater for you in your own home, allowing you to relax and enjoy your celebration to the full.
Egg Bistro will be closed from 2pm, Saturday 24 December 2011, reopening 7am, Friday 6 January 2012. Chris and the staff would like to thank all their customers for making the first year such a success, and wish all a safe and merry Christmas.
